For our »Rendez-Vous N°6«, we paired an oak barrel-aged Rioja Reserva with roasted macadamias, coated with rosemary, black pepper, and smoked salt. Thus, in addition to the dark fruit taste from the Tempranillo grape, the notes of herbs, spices, and light roasted aromas are also elicited.
This Marqués de Reinosa Reserva is complex and intense on the nose, with balsamic and spicy notes, hints of cocoa, tobacco, and fine wood from barrel aging that combine well with a powerful and ripe fruit character. Restrained tannins and innate acidity bestow structure, elegance, and a very long finish.
